Flip Teaser is Nine Pictures first animated movie. It is a silent movie that runs for about 2 minutes. This movie was noted for imprinting Nine Pictures as a credible movie studio after a series of terminated projects (see Micro Ninjas).
Reception
The movie was critically acclaimed at it’s screening at New Vic college
for its astonishing fight scene between Flip’s
father (John Smith) and Mutow. This paved the way for future Nine Pictures
animations.
There was initial confusion
over the lead character of the movie. Many thought that it was Flip
(Jayce Smith). Chronologically this is the scene when John Smith is killed
by Mutow. The previous scene can be seen in the comic book ‘Flip:
The Beginning’.
