The Nine Corporation Economy is a Nine Corporation Resource Management Scheme where Nine Corp Citizens can earn credit (known as Gems) to spend on resources they would like to use. The scheme replaces the Rank System and is the present Resource Management Scheme.

Citizens are awarded Gems when they complete tasks for the Nine Corporation (which are displayed on the NCEC), they can then buy Nine Corporation resources with the value they earn.

The first transaction was in October 2008 when Lifer sold Nine Corp products for value. Credits was officially changed to Gems in spring 2015.
