The D Darq Biography

D.Darq aka Da Darqness is a hiphop producer/rapper/dj creating music since the 90's. He always was able to write lyrics but wasn't able to start producing beats till the late 90's.

He first produced beats on his friends Korg keyboard which had a built in sequencer. Due to low budget he was unable to maintain travelling to south London to produce and was introduced to producing on his Playstation by his cousin. This gave him the confidence to develop more beats, heavily influenced by producers such as Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Jay Dee aka J-Dilla and Madlib.

His ability to write lyrics and freestyle lead to him meet Anubis da God of Def and Furious Gases aka DarqNeter. They formed a group called Ghosts in the Darkness and made a few tracks, then formed the Council of Youngers after befriending Om3ga, A-Nigma, Mymar and Wizdom.

Unfortunately, these ventures didn’t bear fruit. Never wanting to sellout, D.Darq carried on making beats for himself and a few for ‘I’ Witness and guest appeared on one track.

Dormant for years but true to the art he was found by Nine Corp after secretly hearing his tracks and has contributed numerous beats and verses to projects within the Nine Music ever since. Now he will release his debut single ‘Black a Kill Black’ on the world.
