In 2014 there was a new spirit in the air as it was the beginning of a new generation. Nine Music began to experiment with releasing songs digitally on 9Online. Many of these songs became popular hits starting with All I Want For Christmas/Dear Santa. The non-Christmas themed singles started with Leave The Children Alone by Nine Taurus & Z Canzer featuring Anne-Marie, which was the soundtrack to the video game, Shoot The Pedos.

The hits followed, including 20 Years, and Power Couple, Numbers, Resting Bitch Face, and Nuke The Nazis, all before the end of the decade. Digital releases became the norm for the Nine Corporation. Then the 2020s started off with a bang with singles like The Real Pandemic and Rise Up as a response to the pandemic. Ride The Wave and Keeping Receipts were also really popular songs so audiences started to request that these songs should be put on an album.

In 2021 during the Spring Spark Up Show Nine Taurus announced that a new compilation album was in the works. Although it was not known to the public at the time, this was actually 4th Generation Hits. The album was initially announced in July 2025 and was heavily anticipated until its release due to the very popular songs that would be on the album.
